Golf instruction

A simpler way to learn golf.

I teach one simple, repeatable golf swing — fewer positions, fewer swing thoughts, more good shots. Built for beginner kids and for golfers who want less to think about and more fun on the course.

The approach

Why I teach golf differently

Golf instruction got complicated somewhere along the way. Ten checkpoints in the swing. A position for your left wrist, a position for your hips, a position for your weight at three different points in the motion. Most people don’t need any of that to hit a good golf shot — they need one thing they can repeat.

That’s what I teach: one simple, repeatable swing. Not a shortcut, not a trick — just fewer moving parts standing between you and the ball. Less to remember means less to get wrong, and less to think about means you actually get to enjoy the round instead of narrating your swing thoughts on every shot.

Fewer moving parts. More good shots.

This isn’t a rejection of traditional golf instruction — I’m a certified associate golf instructor, on the path to full golf professional, and I respect the depth of that world. It’s an alternative for people who don’t want to sign up for a swing that needs a coach on speed-dial to maintain. Kids get to learn the golf swing basics the simple way first, before bad habits and overthinking have a chance to set in. Golfers coming back to the game after 40 get to trade complexity for consistency — and usually a few less aches at the end of the round.

Ages 4–12

Golf lessons for kids, built the simple way

Kids don’t need ten swing thoughts — they need one motion they can repeat and a reason to want to come back next week. My childrens golf lessons focus on teaching the simple swing from day one, so there’s no complicated technique to unlearn later. It’s an easy, low-pressure way for beginner kids to fall in love with the game before anyone tells them it’s supposed to be hard.

  • One simple swing to learn and repeat — no complicated positions to memorize
  • A fun, low-pressure introduction to the game, built for their age and attention span
  • Good habits from lesson one, so there’s nothing to fix or unlearn down the road

40 and up

A simpler swing for golfers 40 and up

If you’re a mid-to-high handicapper who’s spent years chasing tips, drills, and swing thoughts with little to show for it, this is built for you. I teach a simple golf swing that cuts the number of things you have to think about over the ball — so you can focus on playing golf instead of performing a checklist. Less mental clutter, fewer compensations, and a motion that’s easier on the body over 18 holes.

  • Fewer swing thoughts, more consistency shot to shot
  • A motion that’s easier on the body — less strain, fewer aches after a round
  • More fun, fewer frustrating rounds spent fighting your own swing

About Jason

I’m Jason B — a certified associate golf instructor, on the path to full golf professional. What I care about is simple: golf should be fun, and it shouldn’t take a physics degree to hit a decent shot.

I built my approach to instruction around the golfers most programs overlook — total beginners, especially kids just starting out, and adults 40+ who want to play better without turning it into a second job. If you want a swing you can actually keep, and a game you actually enjoy, I’d love to work with you.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — these are golf lessons for beginners first. If you’ve never picked up a club, or you’ve been playing for years but never had a proper lesson, the simple-swing approach is designed to meet you where you are, not assume ten years of instruction you don’t have.

Roughly ages 4 to 12 — and if your child is just outside that range, get in touch anyway and we’ll figure out what makes sense.

Most instruction adds complexity — more positions, more checkpoints, more to remember. I go the other way: one simple, repeatable swing with fewer moving parts. It’s an alternative approach, not a rejection of traditional coaching — just a simpler path for people who want to spend more time playing and less time overthinking.
